The parkway is narrow and has lots of curves. In some cases you roll into a curve that is over 300 degrees before you finish it. I averaged between 35 and 40 MPH even though the Parkway speed limit is 45.
I rode about 100 miles of the Parkway and on almost half of it there was only a small guard rail and then the wide open sky on my right.
The scenery is absolutely awe inspiring and is, I think, what riding is all about and while I was on the Parkway I saw only a few cars - the ride made me feel like Jim Bronson!
