Building a Bronson Bike - The Rear Fender

The all important concept with this step is to measure twice and cut once. Using a power bad saw was a big help in making a straight cut.

The fender will now extend about 3/4 of and inch below the fender support bracket, the hole on the right is where the fender bolts up.

The area of the back part is doubled to support the mounting of the stock tail light and has a large hole as well. The cut you make to support a 3/4 inch extension will go through this hole (opening). Afterwards take a piece of thin sheet metal and slide between the doubled fender metal. I used a high strength epoxy to bond the sheet metals together. The two smaller holes are left over from the stock tail light and will need to be filled.

The holes were filled with plastic and bonded with epoxy. With a little touch up the fender is ready to be reinstalled.
