The all important concept with this step is to measure twice and cut once. Using a power bad saw was a big help in making a straight cut. |

The fender will now extend about 3/4 of and inch below the fender support bracket, the hole on the right is where the fender bolts up. |

The area of the back part is doubled to support the mounting of the stock tail light and has a large hole as well. The cut you make to support a 3/4 inch extension will go through this hole (opening). Afterwards take a piece of thin sheet metal and slide between the doubled fender metal. I used a high strength epoxy to bond the sheet metals together. The two smaller holes are left over from the stock tail light and will need to be filled. |

The holes were filled with plastic and bonded with epoxy. With a little touch up the fender is ready to be reinstalled. |
