What is the Triunity of God?
Does this link give a good explanation?
Yeah, that is a pretty good column on the Triunity. Many people claim that we believe in three Gods. Christians always flatly deny that.
When we explain the Triunity of God, then we are told that, that is illogical or irrational.
As Paul says in Romans 9... "Who are you to talk back to God, O man... the thing molded does not speak back to the Molder does he?"... Which puny human being has the Creator of the universe all figured out?
To say that the doctrine of the Triunity is foolish or satanic (which has been said by some pseudo-christain cults) is the height of arrogance and I think also very dangerous.
The fact that there is a mystery to God, that He transcends us, that we cannot fully grasp His divine nature IS reasonable. How can the sinful creature fully grasp the pure and Holy God of creation. Even in heaven we may never fully understand Him. That is good.
I have pressed Rabbis that I ministered with in the Navy about the "plurality" of God as found in the Old Testament (the Hebrew language), and they cannot deny that it is there. They, "Just don't understand it." Even for them, the doubt is there... "Yes, He is One... a UNITY."
If I'm not mistaken, a unity demands more than one. A person cannot unite with nothing.
Pretty fascinating huh?
Blessings,
Kim
